Russian figure skater Alexandra Ignatova (Trusova), who won a silver medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics, made statements about her training process after returning to the sport.
The 22-year-old athlete said she returned to full training tempo after giving birth and was included in Moscow's main squad for the 2026/27 season.
Trusova posted the following on her Telegram channel:
"I am working on my short and free programs with elements. Since I am not used to this process, some days everything goes well, and some days nothing works. But now I know that the result will come, albeit a little later."
Emphasizing that her approach to training has become much calmer with age, Trusova continued:
"I am also paying more attention to recovery; after all, age is advancing. Also, choreography has been added back to my training program. I am working at an intense but balanced pace – a perfect balance."
