The updated athlete list of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) shows that Russian snowboarders Dmitry Loginov and Sofia Nadyrshina have been granted neutral status to compete in international events.
Loginov, 26, won world championships in 2019 and 2021 and represented Russia at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics. Nadyrshina, 23, also won the 2021 world championship and competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Number of Russian snowboarders with neutral status rises to five
Other Russian snowboarders listed by the FIS as holding neutral status were Nikita Abozovik, Polina Karimova and Kristina Paul. This brought the number of Russian snowboarders granted the status to at least five.

FIS changes its eligibility rules
FIS had previously announced that it had relaxed the criteria for admitting Russian athletes to international competitions. Under the new regulation, the provision banning the participation of Russian athletes affiliated with CSKA and other sports organizations linked to the armed forces was removed from the regulations.
