The Plesetsk Cosmodrome in Russia’s northwestern Arkhangelsk region hosted the launch of a Soyuz-2.1b medium-class rocket on Friday. The launch, carried out by the Russian Space Forces, sent a spacecraft into space.
Roscosmos announced that the launch process was completed as planned after the spacecraft was placed into its designated orbit.
Following the launch, ground-based automated control systems at the Titov Main Test and Space Systems Control Centre began tracking the rocket. After the spacecraft was placed into orbit, control was transferred to ground facilities operated by the Russian Space Forces.
A stable telemetry link was established with the spacecraft. Its systems were also reported to be operating normally.
