Russian State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet accused the Kyiv administration of refusing to retrieve the bodies of dead Ukrainian soldiers located in Russian-controlled Konstantinovka. Sheremet described this stance as 'shameful and immoral.'
The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday, July 4, that it had proposed a humanitarian operation to hand over the remains of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel in Konstantinovka. The ministry stated that this offer was rejected by Ukraine.
In a statement to RIA Novosti, Sheremet said, "The Kyiv clique's immoral refusal to retrieve the bodies of soldiers killed in Konstantinovka reveals their shameful essence." The deputy added that this was "another link in the chain of countless betrayals by Zelenskyy against both living and dead citizens of Ukraine."
Sheremet also claimed that Zelenskyy continues to implement a plan to destroy the Ukrainian people.
Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov reported to President Vladimir Putin on July 3 that the Russian army had taken full control of Konstantinovka. Putin, viewing this development as the key to liberating the entire territory of the Donetsk People's Republic, stated that it paved the way for an advance on Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.
