Russia's Interior Ministry has issued a statement on which records must be mandatorily processed in the passports used within the country.
In a statement to the RIA Novosti agency, the ministry stated that a Russian citizen's internal passport must contain information on their residence registration and military status.
A ministry spokesperson said, "Information on a citizen's residence registration, its cancellation, and their status regarding military service obligations is mandatory."
Optional Records
The statement noted that, upon citizens' request, some additional information could also be processed into their passports.
These optional records include blood type and Rh factor, marriage or divorce information, children under 14 years old, previously issued passport and foreign passport numbers, and the registration number in Russia's population register system.
It was stated that health information such as blood type could be processed by the relevant healthcare institutions.
