According to a live broadcast by Russia's Federal Space Agency Roscosmos, two Russian cosmonauts and one US astronaut aboard the International Space Station (ISS) have transferred to the Soyuz MS-28 spacecraft for their return to Earth. Sergey Kud-Sverchkov, Sergey Mikaev, and Christopher Williams have closed the hatches between the vehicle and the station.
Soyuz MS-28 is expected to undock from the ISS at 9:55 a.m. TSİ. After reaching a safe distance, the vehicle will fire its braking engines, enter the atmosphere, and separate into sections. The descent capsule is expected to land in the Kazakh steppe around 12:50 p.m. TSİ.
Sergey Kud-Sverchkov had been serving as ISS commander since January 12. Russian cosmonaut Pyotr Dubrov has taken over. Kud-Sverchkov had assumed command from US astronaut Michael Fink.
