Digital health services expand in Russia
Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said digital services were among the priorities in the healthcare sector. Murashko noted that online tools made it easier to access healthcare services.
Speaking in Moscow on August 27 about the use of the national messaging app Maks, Murashko announced that more than 16 million doctor appointments had been booked through the platform.
3.5 million telemedicine consultations through Maks
Murashko said more than 3.5 million telemedicine consultations had been conducted using Maks.
The minister noted that online tools reduced the workload on outpatient clinics and healthcare workers. Murashko said this would allow doctors to devote more time to patients who needed in-person examinations.
