Russia's Ministry of Economic Development announced it has lifted its recommendation to temporarily suspend tour sales to Middle Eastern countries.
The decision came after the Russian Foreign Ministry also revised its travel advisories for Gulf countries. The Foreign Ministry canceled its recommendation for Russian citizens to avoid travel to these countries due to changes in the regional situation.
In early March, when tensions escalated in the Middle East, Russia had warned its citizens to avoid tourist travel to regional countries until active hostilities ceased and air traffic fully normalized.
Within this context, the Ministry of Economic Development had advised tour operators and agencies to suspend sales of tours to the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
