Investments in Russia's Far East region reached a historic level in 2025. The General Director of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, Nikolay Zapryagaev, shared striking figures during a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Zapryagaev said, "In 2025, 674 new investment projects came to us. Investors poured a record 1 trillion rubles into Far East projects alone."
The General Director emphasized that this figure corresponds to one-fifth of total fixed capital investments in the Far East. He noted that this ratio applies to both 2025 and the last 10-year period.
This surge in investment is seen as a concrete indicator of Russia's strategy to shift its economic center eastward. The capital flowing into the region is concentrated in infrastructure, energy, and logistics projects.
