Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov made a humorous comment about the frequent prime minister changes in the UK. Peskov stated that it is not possible to predict how many heads of government will leave office in a period like 25 years.
Peskov moderated the session titled "Scenarios of World Order Towards the Mid-21st Century" at the 12th International Primakov Readings Scientific-Expert Forum. In his speech at the event, he noted that the period mentioned in the forum's name would only begin after a quarter of a century.
Peskov said, "This means a whole generation. Therefore, it will probably not be us but the next generation that evaluates the results of this discussion, and they will ultimately shape the world order in the mid-21st century."
The spokesman continued: "Yes, a very long time will pass. In fact, right now, it is not even possible for us to predict how many prime ministers will change in the UK during this period."
