Erdogan says criminals in Gaza try to cover their atrocities by slandering Turkiye
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that they completely reject the slanders against Turkiye by a criminal gang whose hands are stained with the blood of 75,000 innocent people in Gaza. Erdogan also sent a message of support to Venezuela and emphasized the necessity of increasing satellite capacity.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in his address to the nation after the Cabinet meeting, said that those responsible for crimes against the civilian population in Gaza are trying to conceal their atrocities by slandering Turkiye.
Erdogan stated, "We completely reject the slanders against our country by a criminal gang whose hands are stained with the blood of 75,000 innocent Gazans, especially children and women."
Recalling that Turkiye has historically opened its arms to those fleeing persecution, Erdogan referenced the right of asylum granted to those fleeing Nazi persecution. "Those who slander Turkiye in order to cover up their atrocities in Gaza know this best," Erdogan said.
Message of solidarity with Venezuela
President Erdogan also sent a message of support to Venezuela, which has been shaken by successive devastating earthquakes. "Turkiye is providing full support to the friendly and brotherly people of Venezuela, who have been shaken by two major earthquakes," Erdogan stated.
Emphasis on satellite capacity
In his speech, Erdogan also touched upon Turkiye's work in the space field, noting that increasing satellite capacity is not a choice but a necessity for the country.
