Brother and sister detained in Saky on suspicion of high treason
The Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea announced that a brother and sister were detained on Friday, September 11, on suspicion of high treason. The suspects allegedly tried to retrieve a hidden explosive device equipped with a detonator in the Saky area, and the case file will be sent to the Supreme Court of Crimea.
The Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea announced that a brother and sister had been detained on suspicion of high treason. The Prosecutor’s Office said the two suspects would stand trial on the charges.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the woman contacted a representative of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She allegedly subsequently involved her brother in the activity.
The two suspects went to a site in Crimea’s Saky area and tried to retrieve a hidden explosive device equipped with a detonator. They were detained during an operation conducted in the area by Federal Security Service personnel.
The case file will be sent to the Supreme Court of Crimea. The charges against the suspects will be assessed during the judicial proceedings.
