Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Beijing, the capital of China, for a two-day official visit. The visit coincides with the anniversary of the friendship, good neighborliness, and cooperation agreement signed between Russia and China 25 years ago. Putin is accompanied by five deputy prime ministers, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina, some governors, and heads of state companies. Additionally, representatives of state banks and media organizations, as well as important businesspeople, are part of the delegation. During the visit, it is expected that narrow-scope talks will be held with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, and about 40 bilateral agreements will be signed along with a joint cooperation declaration between the two countries. This visit follows the contacts of U.S. President Donald Trump in Beijing a few days ago. Trump described Chinese leader Xi Jinping as a 'friend' and 'great leader,' expressing that relations between the two countries would improve. Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of cooperation between the world's two largest economies.
