Russia continues counting votes following the three-day election for State Duma deputies. According to preliminary data from Russia's Central Election Commission, United Russia is in first place with 57.83% of the vote after more than 95% of the protocols were processed.

CPRF in second place
According to preliminary results, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation has won 13.81% of the vote. The LDPR has received 8.98%, while the New People party has received 7.96%.

United Russia also leads in single-member districts
Russia's State Duma has 450 deputies. Half of them, or 225 deputies, are elected from party lists, while the remaining 225 are elected in single-member districts. According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission, United Russia candidates are leading in the vast majority of single-member districts.

Early data differed from the current results
After voting ended, VTsIOM exit poll data showed United Russia receiving 49.4% of the vote. As official protocols were processed, the figure changed, and the party had received 57.83% after more than 95% of the protocols had been counted.

The party received 49.82% in the previous election
In the 2021 State Duma election, United Russia received 49.82% of the vote from party lists. The current preliminary data therefore show a higher result for the party than in the previous parliamentary election.

Final results are still pending
The published figures remain preliminary until all protocols have been processed and the Central Election Commission of Russia officially approves the results. Once counting is complete, the final distribution of votes and parliamentary seats in the new State Duma will be known.
