Rutte: We are discussing Ukraine's urgent air defense needs with allies
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte discussed Russia's recent attacks in a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and announced that he is coordinating with allies to meet Kyiv's urgent air defense needs.

Rutte said in a statement on his social media account, "I am assessing with allies how we can continue to provide the air defense systems Ukraine urgently needs."
Russia's attacks and statements from the parties
Ukraine's Air Force Command reported that the Russian military launched 28 missiles, including 24 ballistic ones, and 115 armed drones at the country.
Russia's Defense Ministry announced that a heavy attack was carried out overnight on transport, logistics, and distribution centers in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
