Russia's Security Council stated that the US and Israel could use peace talks as a tool to conceal a possible ground operation against Iran. The council's statement emphasized that the Pentagon continues to increase the number of American troops in the Middle East. The US military's strength in the region includes 2,500 Marines from the 11th Expeditionary Corps, more than 1,200 fighters from the 82nd Airborne Division, Delta special forces and the 75th Ranger Regiment. Additionally, approximately 500 US Air Force aircraft and more than 20 US Navy ships are in the region. According to a statement by US President Donald Trump, these forces will remain in the region until Iran meets Washington's conditions. The council noted that the amphibious assault group led by USS Boxer and the USS George H.W. Bush carrier strike group are moving toward the conflict zone, and these units are expected to arrive in the Arabian Sea coinciding with the end of the two-week ceasefire. It also foresees an increase in coalition forces' renewal of offensive and missile defense weapons and intelligence activities. These developments point to the potential for rising geopolitical tension in the Middle East.
