Russian envoy Dmitriev says winter will expose EU's energy policy mistakes
Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian President's special representative, said on social media that the approaching winter will reveal the European Union's erroneous energy decisions.
Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian President's special representative for investment and economic cooperation, sharply criticized the European Union's energy policies. In a post on X, Dmitriev said, "Winter is approaching and will expose the EU's mistaken energy decisions."
The Russian official's statement came after an assessment by Anders Opedal, CEO of Norwegian energy giant Equinor. Opedal had predicted that Europe's natural gas storage facilities would not even reach 80% capacity before the start of the winter season.
