Russian State Duma deputy Aleksey Govırin announced that starting August 1, 2026, pensioners receiving funded pensions and participants in the state co-financing program will receive a raise.
According to Govırin, the payments of those receiving funded pensions through the Social Fund (SFR) will increase by 17.3%. No application is required for this increase; it will be applied automatically based on the fund's data.
The right to a funded pension is granted to individuals who contributed to the funded portion of insurance premiums in previous years. This mainly includes men born between 1953 and 1966, women born between 1957 and 1966 (who paid premiums in 2002-2004), and citizens born in 1967 or later. These individuals paid contributions until the funded portion was frozen in 2014.
The deputy reminded that to receive a funded pension, men must be 60 and women 55, along with meeting the required service period and pension coefficient. The August increase covers those already receiving monthly payments from these funds.
Participants in the state co-financing program, parents who transferred maternity capital to funded pensions, and citizens making voluntary contributions will receive a 19.3% raise.
Govırin said this increase falls under the "fixed-term pension payment" and is granted for a chosen period of at least ten years.
On the other hand, regular old-age insurance pensions, social pensions, disability pensions, survivor's pensions, and military pensions are not included in the August increase.
The deputy stated that those who withdrew their savings as a lump sum will not benefit from this monthly increase until new savings accumulate in the fund and a new payment is defined. He added that those whose funded pension funds are in a non-state fund should check their own fund's procedures and rates.
