Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said he had no information about the proposal attributed to Volodymyr Zelenskyy to halt attacks on civilian vessels in the Black Sea.
Journalists asked Grushko about claims that Russia had rejected Kyiv’s proposal to halt the attacks in the Black Sea. The Russian diplomat said he had no information that such a proposal had come from Ukrainian President Zelenskyy.
Grushko said Moscow had not abandoned its goal of achieving lasting peace in Ukraine and eliminating the root causes of the conflict. He said Russia’s position had been conveyed to all members of the international community through official and unofficial channels.

Vatican and CIA visits
The Russian deputy foreign minister also commented on analysts’ assessments linking the visits of Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, head of the Vatican’s diplomatic service, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe.
Grushko said these were assessments by experts and that the issues in question did not fall under the responsibility of Russia’s Foreign Ministry. He said intelligence services had their own communication channels.
