Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said NATO and European Union countries cannot publicly distance themselves from providing military aid to Ukraine and pursuing anti-Russian policies.
In a separate television interview, Lavrov said Russia would take into account the actions of openly anti-Russian elites in Britain, Brussels, Paris, Berlin and other NATO and EU countries. Lavrov argued that these circles had tried to publicly distance themselves in advance from their actions, adding that this approach would not produce results.

Putin and Trump could meet at APEC
Kremlin foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov said Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump could meet on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, which will be held in China in November.
Ushakov said it appeared inevitable that the two leaders would meet and talk if they attended the same event. However, he noted that there had so far been no signs or signals of any planning for such a meeting.
Ushakov said about three months remained before the summit and that many important international events would take place beforehand. He said the prospects for a meeting would become clearer over time.
