Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov argued that European countries could obstruct potential agreements between Russia and the United States aimed at resolving the Ukraine crisis. Peskov maintained that Europe was acting in favor of continuing the war, while saying that U.S. President Donald Trump and U.S. negotiators were trying to move the crisis toward a peaceful resolution.
Peskov made the assessment after Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that Russia would not be able to recover its assets frozen in the West.

Legal process over Russian assets
Peskov acknowledged that there were problems regarding the return of Russian assets frozen in the European Union. He said Russia would continue its efforts to recover the assets through all available avenues, including legal work, lawsuits and judicial proceedings.
Talks with Washington and an energy ceasefire
Peskov said no agreement had yet been reached on a new meeting with U.S. negotiators on Ukraine, adding that efforts to find a solution were continuing in a closed and limited format.
He also said work was continuing on a possible ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine that could cover energy facilities, but did not announce any result on the issue.

Conflicting information on U.S. military support
Asked whether there had been any change in U.S. military support for Ukraine, Peskov said there were conflicting statements on the matter. Some statements said the assistance was continuing, while others said the transfer of various information to Ukraine had been interrupted because of technological restrictions.
Peskov said it was still too early to draw a systematic conclusion based on the existing statements.
Starlink claims and attacks on Russian data centers
Addressing reports that access to the Starlink satellite communications system had been restricted for troops in Ukraine, Peskov said they had received no other information beyond those claims. He argued that the use of technologies such as Starlink for military purposes should generally be avoided.
Regarding drone attacks on data centers belonging to the Russian companies Yandex and Sberbank, Peskov said a meeting planned with the participation of Vladimir Putin was not directly linked to the incidents. He said the meeting was broader and more systemic in nature. Peskov also said there was nothing to add to Sberbank's statement on the attack against its data center.
Possible visit to Russia by FBI director
Peskov declined to comment on reports that FBI Director Kash Patel could visit Russia. He said such visits were often not announced in advance and that he could not comment on the matter.
