Over 60 drones destroyed in Rostov overnight, 5 districts targeted
In a heavy drone attack on Russia's Rostov region, over 60 drones were shot down. The cities of Gukovo and Taganrog, as well as five districts, were targeted.
The Rostov region came under a heavy drone attack overnight. Regional Governor Yuri Slyusar reported that air defense systems destroyed over sixty drones.
In a post on the Max platform, Slyusar said, "Last night the Rostov region experienced a massive air attack, and over sixty drones were destroyed during the strike."
Gukovo and Taganrog targeted
The attack specifically targeted the cities of Gukovo and Taganrog. In addition, the districts of Tarasovsky, Verkhnedonskoy, Millerovsky, Chertkovsky, and Sholokhovsky were among the areas hit.
Governor Slyusar added that no casualties or damage on the ground were reported.
Scale of the attack
The downing of over sixty drones in a single night indicated a coordinated and large-scale attempted attack on the region. Authorities emphasized that no information about casualties or material damage has been received so far.
