Kremlin expects US to focus on Ukraine after resolving Iran crisis
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said they hope the US will return to the Ukraine settlement process after overcoming the military crisis in Iran. His remarks came after US airstrikes on targets in Iran and Iran's retaliation against US bases in the Gulf.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov noted that the situation regarding Iran has become seriously complicated. Peskov expressed hope that the American side would manage to resolve this issue.
"Despite the significant complications, we hope the Americans will manage to resolve the Iran issue."
Peskov stated that after this resolution, the US could return to the settlement process in Ukraine.
These remarks were made in the shadow of US airstrikes on targets in Iran and Iran's retaliation against US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) had announced on Thursday that it struck approximately 90 targets in Iran. Iran's Revolutionary Guards, in response, reported hitting two US bases in Kuwait and two in Bahrain.
