Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi made remarks on foreign policy during a meeting of the Government Information Council in Tehran. He stated that after the nuclear deal, the US has repeatedly violated its commitments and continued its military aggression against Iran.
The minister also addressed developments following the ceasefire memorandum signed in Islamabad. He provided information about the consultations with Oman on managing maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
Arakchi said that, under the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mujtaba Khamenei and the directives of the Supreme National Security Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has intensified its diplomatic efforts to advance the country’s highest interests. He argued that the media is part of the war imposed on Iran by the US and Israel.
Arakchi added that the media plays an extremely vital role in presenting the true narrative of the Iranian nation’s sacred defense against the enemy’s brutal aggression and in preserving and strengthening national unity and solidarity.
