Yevgeny Lovchev said his pension income had reached approximately 90,000 rubles following his career with the Soviet Union national team and Spartak Moscow.
Lovchev, 77, said his pension was initially 28,000 rubles, while the basic payment has now risen to approximately 40,000 rubles. He said a state payment for the bronze medal he won at the 1972 Munich Olympics, along with an additional payment from Moscow to Olympic medalists, had increased his total income to approximately 90,000 rubles.
Lovchev said Spartak had also been providing additional payments to its former footballers for some time. He noted that his television earnings were not high but contributed to his budget.
Lovchev said housing and public utility costs for his home in Zvenigorod, land tax, fuel and vehicle maintenance accounted for a significant portion of his budget. The retired footballer said he did not travel to Ostankino by train and also highlighted the cost of maintaining his car.
