First direct flight from Tanzania lands at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport

The first direct flight from Tanzania to Russia landed at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport. The national carrier Air Tanzania's Boeing 787 Dreamliner touched down at 08:58 local time, according to the online flight schedule.

Under the new route, flights will operate on the Dar es Salaam – Moscow – Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam route. Flights will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Artur Muradyan, Vice President of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), stated that Tanzania would be a holiday destination in demand among Russian tourists.
