Documents required for university applicants in Russia have been announced. The application package includes a passport, consent to personal data processing, a school or vocational school diploma, and several other documents.
Russia’s Ministry of Education and Science stated that identity and educational documents are among the fundamental parts of the application. Applicants must also be able to submit documents showing special rights and certificates confirming individual achievements.
Originals or copies of documents will be sufficient
The Ministry announced that documents may be submitted in original or copy form, and copies are not required to be separately certified.
Documents issued in a foreign language must be submitted with a Russian translation. Educational documents obtained abroad will, if necessary, undergo legalization procedures in Russia.
Up to five universities and five programs can be selected
The Ministry reminded that applicants may select a maximum of five universities, and at each university they can apply for up to five programs and fields of study.
This year, applications and required documents can be submitted in person, by mail, or via the public services portal "Gosuslugi." The universities will determine the deadline for applications.
Official university websites contain the most detailed information on each institution’s document requirements. The admission period for Russian universities will begin on June 20.
