The program for the international Baltic Weekend communications forum, which will be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, from September 23 to 25, has been announced. The business program will bring together representatives of more than 60 companies, media, communications and research organizations, professional associations, educational institutions and public-sector bodies.
The forum program consists of 25 sessions, discussions and practical workshops. The use of artificial intelligence in communications will be at the center of the agenda. Participants will discuss methods for making brand content visible in the responses generated by artificial intelligence systems and take part in a practical workshop on AI tools.
Measuring reputation and communications activities
The sessions will also address the measurability of public relations activities and public trust. Participants will assess indicators that can be used to measure the impact of communications activities on organizations' reputations and commercial objectives.
The program will also cover the reputation of prominent public figures, the language and media habits of Generation Z, changes in the way media newsrooms operate, and promotion in regulated industries.
Among the forum's featured speakers are Alexander Zhuravsky, deputy head of the Office of Public Projects of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation; Alexey Gorislavsky, director general of the Institute for Internet Development; Andrey Timonov, director of Rosatom's Communications Department; Anastasia Mishanina, director of Communications and Investor Relations at Severstal; and Yulia Ablest, deputy director general of Dialog Regions and founder of the New Media Workshop.
Andrey Barannikov, the forum's founder and director general of SPN. Communications, said the program had been prepared based on the needs communications professionals encounter in their daily work. Barannikov said businesses wanted to move beyond simply organizing activities in their communications work and focus on measurable results.
Barannikov also said the program includes management tools that can be used to measure the effectiveness of public relations, manage reputational risks and select the right communications channels in an information-saturated environment.
