Russian missions and visa centres in Türkiye

IN SHORT

A visa application can be submitted to the visa centre or directly to the consulate through kdmid.ru.
Official visa centres are located in Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya and Trabzon.
Consular appointments are free and a separate appointment is required for each person and procedure.
The visa centre forwards the application; the embassy or consulate general makes the visa decision.

This page is for Turkish citizens looking for where to apply for a Russian visa or a consular procedure related to Russia. Russia has one embassy, three consulates general and official visa centres in four cities in Turkey. Below, you will find the addresses, telephone numbers, opening hours, appointment rules and information on where you should submit your application.

Where do you submit a visa application?

  • Visa applications can be submitted in two ways:
    • Russian Visa Centre: Offices in Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya and Trabzon. It is the official visa outsourcing partner of the Russian Embassy and consulates general.
    • Directly to the consulate: With an appointment made through the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' electronic appointment system.
  • The visa centre receives your application and forwards it to the consulate. The decision is always made by the embassy or consulate general.
  • You do not need to go anywhere for an e-visa; the application is submitted online (see R1.2).

How does the consular appointment system work?

  • Consular procedures are carried out by appointment made through the Russian Foreign Ministry's electronic appointment system (kdmid.ru). Appointments are free.
  • You must verify your email address and telephone number to register in the system.
  • The telephone number must belong to a Turkish GSM operator and must not be roaming. A verification code is sent to the number.
  • At the Consulate General in Antalya, only one applicant may register using one email address and one telephone number.
  • A separate appointment is required for each procedure and each person. For example, two separate appointments are required for two different document procedures.
  • If you cannot attend your appointment, cancel it in the system or call the consulate.
  • According to the Russian Embassy, the consulate accepts documents only from persons registered in the appointment system.
