Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his country was ready to take steps to ease tensions and called for Russia to be made to comply with similar measures targeting Ukraine's critical infrastructure in a long-term and reliable manner.
Zelenskyy said the plan for the priorities and preparations of military operations had been drawn up with Defense Minister Yevheniy Hmara and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi. He said they had identified the priority targets, as well as the amount of resources required and the necessary preparations.
Assessing the long-range capabilities of military operations planned for the future, Zelenskyy praised the work being carried out by Ukraine's Defense Ministry to meet the needs of the operations.
Zelenskyy argued that the results of Ukraine's long-range impact on the oil sector of Russia's war economy were significant. He maintained that this impact had increased the capacity needed for diplomacy.
A new interceptor to be used against Russian jet-powered drones was also successfully tested in Ukraine. Zelenskyy said a Shahed drone had been shot down during the test, but noted that some elements of the interceptor's control system needed to be improved and that work was continuing.
