Russia's state news agency RIA Novosti reported that Ukrainian MP Aleksey Goncharenko shared a video in which he claimed military recruitment office workers in Lutsk used an anti-tank obstacle, known as a 'hedgehog', to stop a car.
In the video he posted on his Telegram channel, Goncharenko said, 'In Lutsk, TCC (territorial recruitment centre) workers blocked the car by throwing a 'hedgehog' under its wheels, thank God it wasn't an animal.' The MP also noted that the workers were again wearing balaclavas to hide their faces, saying, 'Nothing like this had ever happened before, and here it is again.'
After the incident, the driver reportedly managed to escape from the military recruitment office workers.
Forced mobilisation and scandals
Due to a recent shortage of personnel in Ukraine's armed forces, forced conscription attempts by military recruitment offices are frequently sparking scandals and protests. Many videos circulating online show recruitment centre officials loading men into vans and driving them away, sometimes beating those detained.
Many Ukrainian men of conscription age, on the other hand, are leaving the country illegally to avoid mobilisation, setting fire to military recruitment offices, or hiding indoors and refusing to go outside.
Aleksey Goncharenko is known as a politician who has been listed by Russia as a terrorist and extremist.
