The Ukrainian-made UAR-15 rifle was featured in a special program highlighting its frontline use and design characteristics. A soldier involved in the production explained that this weapon is used in various roles by infantry and reconnaissance units and has now become the standard weapon in his own unit.
According to the soldier, their units are transitioning from older AK rifles to the UAR series. This shift was emphasized as providing more effective use under modern combat conditions.
The program also demonstrated the rifle’s disassembly and assembly, safe handling rules, and basic shooting details. The soldier particularly reminded viewers to always treat the weapon as if it were loaded.
Host Khrystyna Ravliuk also tested her skills at the shooting range, adding a practical segment alongside the technical explanations.
The production discussed the advantages of the UAR-15 compared to Soviet-era weapons. The soldier stated that this model is on par with the legendary Kalashnikov assault rifle; however, this assessment reflects an internal viewpoint.
Each episode of the special series includes detailed reviews, practical tests, and evaluations from experts sharing frontline experiences. The program is scheduled to air on Ukrinform’s YouTube channel at 15:30.
