Turkish ballerina Nilay Tahiroğlu passed the first stage of the 15th International Ballet Competition held in Moscow and secured her place in the semi-finals.
The competition, which started on June 25 at the Bolshoi Theatre's Historic Stage and will continue until July 5, features 362 dancers from 35 countries. Tahiroğlu, a State Opera and Ballet artist, was exempted from preliminaries due to her previous international successes and was directly accepted into the competition.
Tahiroğlu, who entered the 34 artists completing the first stage of the three-stage organization, will represent Turkey in the semi-finals on July 1.
