Dmitry Medvedev, chairman of United Russia, said at a meeting of the expert council preparing the party's public program that the ideological confrontation between Russia and the West would continue after the special military operation.
Medvedev said the special military operation would end or be paused sooner or later. However, he said any such outcome must take place on Russia's terms, adding that even in this case the ideological confrontation with the West would not disappear.
He pointed to problems with public education in Russia
Medvedev said problems related to educating society were not unique to the West and that similar problems also existed in Russia.
He accused the West of pursuing an ultimatum-based policy
Medvedev argued that the West was pursuing a hypocritical policy that favored ultimatums and arms deliveries over compromise and mediation.
Medvedev said Western diplomacy had completely discredited itself as a tool for resolving political crises, adding that this approach had eliminated its capacity to achieve diplomatic solutions.
