Emergency numbers: checklist

Save the emergency numbers in advance, provide the necessary information during the call, and use the e-Government notification if you cannot reach anyone by phone.

0/9 steps done
YOUR NEXT STEP

1. Save emergency numbers on your phone

Save the emergency numbers in Russia and Ukraine and the duty lines of the relevant missions.

Prepare in advance

  • Save the emergency numbers in Russia and Ukraine and the duty lines of the relevant missions.
  • Keep a written copy of the numbers with you in case your phone runs out of charge.
  • If you do not speak Russian or Ukrainian, keep the address where you are staying written on your phone in the local language.

Make an emergency call

  • In Russia, call 101, 102, 103, 104 or 112 from a mobile phone; in Ukraine, call 112 or the relevant emergency number.
  • Briefly report the fire, accident, illness or injury, together with the city, street, building and apartment details.
  • State the number of injured or ill people, your name and phone number.
  • Do not hang up before the operator gives permission, and listen to the operator's questions without panicking.

When you cannot reach anyone

  • If there is no mobile network in Ukraine, make a call through the 112 Ukraine app after signing in beforehand.
  • If you cannot reach anyone by phone, submit your location, the type of emergency and your contact details through the Overseas Emergency Notification service.
