2. Document your groundsPrepare documents supporting your grounds, such as a medical report, inheritance file, or immigration permit application document.
3. Prepare the documentsPrepare your passport, certified Ukrainian translation, proof of financial means, or a letter of guarantee from the host party.

4. Apply together with the host partyApply in person at the SMS unit at your place of stay together with the host party.
5. Submit the application on timeSubmit the application at least 3 business days before your period of stay expires.
6. Provide biometric dataDuring the application, allow the SMS officer to collect your biometric data.
7. Pay the feesPay the administrative fee and state duty, and attach the proof of payment to the application.
8. Check your passportOnce the decision is made, check that the extension has been recorded in your passport with a QR-coded mark.
