Preparing a power of attorney
- For procedures that must be performed in the form of an official deed, such as land registry procedures, apply to a Turkish diplomatic mission; for other procedures, apply to the appropriate authority.
- Prepare your identity document, photocopies, at least two photographs, the attorney-in-fact's information, and additional documents according to the subject of the procedure.
- If you do not speak Turkish, apply with a sworn translator who has taken an oath at the mission.
Using local documents
- For procedures that cannot be performed at the mission, have the document prepared by a local notary or the relevant local authority.
- Obtain an apostille from the competent authority in the country where the document was issued.
- After obtaining the apostille, have the document duly translated into Turkish.
