YOUR NEXT STEP
1. Check your visa and period of stay
Calculate your visa's validity period and, if applicable, the 90/180 stay limit.Extension or departure
- Calculate your visa's validity period and, if applicable, the 90/180 stay limit.
- If you cannot leave, prepare documents such as a hospital report, death certificate, or flight cancellation notice.
- Before your visa expires, apply to the Ministry of Internal Affairs office where your migration registration is located or where you are actually staying.
- Do not assume that applying automatically gives you the right to stay, and do not exceed the period.
- If the extension is refused, leave Russia before your legal period expires.
- When leaving Russia, surrender your migration card at the border crossing.
Passport or visa issue
- If you will travel with a valid visa in your old passport, transfer the visa to your new passport at a Russian representative office before departure.
- If your visa is lost or becomes unusable, apply for its reissuance after its issuance has been verified.
